Philly Sports Muse has been going for eight years, and during that time there have been so many changes to the Philadelphia Eagles, to Philly, and to our lives in general. Andy Reid was the coach when this all started, and a Lombardi trophy still loomed large in the distance.
I began by chronicling the Birds and the NFL each and every day in 2011, even during the lockout. I continued to write here as I penned the Women’s World column for the Eagles during the 2013 season.
Then, I worked in another realm and blogged on the side. Now, blogging is my realm, and I’ve turned it into a business that I run while chasing after two active little kids. My love for the Birds has not changed, but my ability to write about it has.
Seasons change in life as they do in sports. In honor of that shift, look for the content of Philly Sports Muse to widen to include major stories in all Philadelphia sports. It will also include a look at topics related to sports business and philanthropy. This approach recognizes that while I can’t break down each and every game these days, we still have a lot to talk about. There’s so much in non-Eagles sports I’ve wanted to talk about over the years, like about the arrival of Gritty, but haven’t known where to do so.
Now I do.
PSM is still here sharing the love for the Birds, Philly, and Philly sports, but in new ways. I’m excited about getting to share my love for even more aspects of football, Philly sports, and sports business talk with you.
